Flamboro Speedway has announced its 2013 season schedule. The 52nd season will officially kick off on Saturday, April 27th and feature a number of special events including the Grisdale Triple Crown, the return of OSCAAR and the second annual Gold Rush 100 featuring NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace.
One of NASCAR’s most colorful characters makes his return Monday August 19th. Last year Kenny Wallace drove Shane Gowan’s car to a third place finish in the first annual Gold Rush 100.
The 11th annual Grisdale Triple Crown kicks off June 8th with the first of three 75 lap invitationals races for Late Models. Race two takes place July 6th with the final race August 10th.
The Open Wheel Extravaganza returns featuring the Lucas Oil Can-Am Midgets, the Lucas Oil Canadian Vintage Modifieds, the Hurricane Midgets and Pro 4 Modifieds.
A new addition this season will feature Sprint Cars, bringing the thrill of dirt to the 1/3 asphalt oval at Flamboro. The OSCAAR Super Late Models and Open Wheel Modifieds make their long awaited return to Flamboro July 20th.
There will be three nights devoted to the Fans again this year. Meet the Drivers Night takes place June 22nd. The Kids Ride Night returns August 3rd and Fan Appreciation Night with a Corn Roast takes place August 31st.
The Lucas Oil Sportsman series make their annual 100 lap main event race on August 24th and the final big event of the season is the annual 2 day event known as the Oktoberfest Classic Weekend, hitting the track October 5th and 6th.
October 26th is the tentative final event of the season, Frostfest for Mini Stocks and Thunder Cars will close out another exciting season of grass roots stock car racing at Flamboro Speedway. The Tradition Continues!!
