For the hardcore Ontario short track fan, this is a schedule like none other.

Weekend Preview: Weekend of May 11th – 13th
 

Friday, May 11th - Humberstone Speedway in Port Colborne, Ontario returns to action after a successful season opener. A full slate of all six regular divisions are on the card including the Fastrack Late Models, DIRTcar Sportsman, Street Stocks, Pro 4 Trucks, Mini Stocks and Pure Stocks. Saturday, May 12th - Barrie Speedway opened the season last Saturday night and enters week two of the season with a full lineup of Limited Late Models, Thunder Cars, Pure Stocks and King of the Hill races. Saturday, May 12th - Brighton Speedway gets back into action after last weeks season opener with all five regular divisions in action. The schedule includes DIRTcar Pro Late Models, Canadian Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Comp 4 and Stingers plus a Comp 4 Mechanics Race. It will also be Bumper Sticker and $1.00 Jumbo Hot Dog Night at the track. Pit gates open at 4pm, Grandstands open at 5pm and the racing begins at 7pm. Saturday, May 12th - Brockville Ontario Speedway kicks off 2012 on Saturday night with a full slate of racing in the BOBFM / Ken Seymour Memorial Season Opener. All four regular divisions including the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, Street Stocks and Rookies will compete as well as the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club. Saturday, May 12th - Flamboro Speedway will host its first Midgets and Modifieds night of the year. Saturday, May 12th - Grand Bend Speedway gets its 2012 season underway with a full card of racing. All five regular divisions will be in action including the Jr. A Micro Sprints, Jr. B Micro Sprints, Mini Sprints, Junior Late Models and Mini Trucks. Saturday, May 12th - Merrittville Speedway will host another busy night of racing on Saturday featuring the first King of the Crates 40 lap series race of the season for the DIRTcar Sportsman. Also on the menu will be the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks, Mod Lites and 4 Cylinders. It will also be Kid’s Club registration night for all the junior fans in attendance. Pit Gates Open at 5pm, Grandstands Open at 5:30pm and racing starts at 7pm. Saturday, May 12th - South Buxton Raceway launched its 2012 campaign last week and will once again return with a full slate of action this Saturday. The UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Sport Stocks and Comp 4 will all be in competition. It will also be Best Appearing Award night for all four classes as the sharpest rides in each division will be announced. The main Grandstand gates open at 5:30pm while racing starts at 7pm. Saturday, May 12th - Sunset Speedway will head into its second week of racing with full card of Late Models, Super Stocks and Mini Stocks. The Ontario Pro Challenge Series will also be on hand to compete in their first race of 2012. The big story last week was Mike Bentley’s hard hit in the Late Model feature, however the good news is that he will be back with a new ride for week two. ALSO RACING… will be the Southern Ontario Sprints along with a number of Corr/Pak Merchandising Sprint Car teams from Ohsweken at the 1st Annual Can-Am Sprint Car Challenge at Autodrome Granby in Granby, Quebec.
